FAQ
Q: Is it normal for the development board to heat up when using the OV5640 camera?
A: The OV5640 camera generates a certain amount of heat during continuous image capture. A moderate rise in component temperature is a fairly common occurrence. If the temperature becomes excessively high, stop using the device, power off the dev board, let it stand and cool down, then power it back on. For applications requiring long-term operation, it is recommended to stop image capture or configure the camera into sleep mode when idle to reduce power consumption and operating temperature.
Q: When re-downloading the program, why does the serial port fail to connect or flashing fail?
Press and hold the BOOT button, and press the RESET button at the same time; release RESET first, then release BOOT. After the development board enters download mode, select the serial port again and flash the program.
Q: Which GPIOs on the development board cannot be used as general-purpose pins?
GPIO33 through GPIO37 are occupied by internal functions of the development board and cannot be used as general-purpose GPIOs.
Q: Does the development board support accessing the TF card via SDIO?
Yes, but only 1-line SD mode is supported. The corresponding pins need to be configured in menuconfig.

Q: How do I switch to an IPEX Gen 1 external antenna?
The development board uses a ceramic antenna by default, and the corresponding 0 Ω resistor is soldered vertically. When using an IPEX external antenna, this 0 Ω resistor must be resoldered to a horizontal position.

Q: Where can I find Espressif's official FAQ?
See Espressif ESP-FAQ.
