Finger Vein Recognition
Fingerprint recognition modules capture fingerprint images using capacitive or optical sensors, extract feature values, and compare them against registered templates to complete identity verification. Finger vein recognition modules use near-infrared light to illuminate a finger, capture an image based on the differences in how vein patterns absorb infrared light, and then extract vein features for comparison.
The module handles image capture, feature extraction, and comparison internally, and the main controller can invoke it simply by sending commands over UART or USB. As a result, it is often integrated into devices that require identity verification, such as access control, time and attendance systems, smart locks, and smart cabinets.
